Holiday Magic at the Port Washington Community Garden

There’s something extra special about the holidays in a small town - the twinkle lights, the crisp air, the familiar faces, and the feeling that everyone is coming together to celebrate the season.

There’s something extra special about the holidays in a small town - the twinkle lights, the crisp air, the familiar faces, and the feeling that everyone is coming together to celebrate the season.

This December, we were so excited to be part of the Holiday Market at the Port Washington Community Garden. It was a truly festive and joyful day, and we were grateful to have a booth in such a warm, welcoming community space.

We brought a little bit of My Two Homes holiday magic with us - handcrafted candles, bespoke Christmas ornaments, homemade cookies, and a craft station for kids to create their own festive masterpieces. Watching little hands carefully decorate, families browse together, and neighbors stop to chat reminded us why we started My Two Homes in the first place.

Our mission has always been about creating connection and a sense of belonging, helping families build traditions, share experiences, and feel at home wherever they are. And that’s exactly what we saw throughout the day.

Parents slowed down to craft alongside their children. Friends ran into each other and stayed to catch up. Kids proudly held up their handmade creations. It wasn’t just about buying a candle or decorating a cookie, it was about being together.

The market was filled with holiday cheer including local vendors, seasonal treats, and that unmistakable buzz of people reconnecting before the year wraps up. It felt like the perfect reflection of what we believe: home is something you create through shared moments, community, and intention.

Events like this are what make Port Washington feel like home. We’re so thankful to everyone who stopped by our booth, supported local businesses, and celebrated the season with us.

Here’s to more moments that bring us together, during the holidays and all year long.
