Who We Are
My Two Homes is a community founded by three Port Washington moms—Julia, Sue, and Bella—who are dedicated to supporting families navigating divorce and co-parenting.
The organization provides a trusted network, local events, and child-focused programming to help normalize the experience of growing up in two households.
The Story of My Two Homes
The idea for My Two Homes began on the elementary school playground when John and Violet realized they both had two homes. Their moms, Sue and Bella, met for a playdate and quickly bonded over shared experiences of navigating parenthood while going through separation and divorce.
Sue mentioned her experience with Banana Splits in middle school—a peer support group for children of divorce—and they saw the need for a modern, local version of that kind of support network. With Julia’s background in sales and marketing, the vision began to take shape.
