Who We Are

My Two Homes is a community founded by three Port Washington moms—Julia, Sue, and Bella—who are dedicated to supporting families navigating divorce and co-parenting.

The organization provides a trusted network, local events, and child-focused programming to help normalize the experience of growing up in two households.

The Story of My Two Homes

The idea for My Two Homes began on the elementary school playground when John and Violet realized they both had two homes. Their moms, Sue and Bella, met for a playdate and quickly bonded over shared experiences of navigating parenthood while going through separation and divorce.

Sue mentioned her experience with Banana Splits in middle school—a peer support group for children of divorce—and they saw the need for a modern, local version of that kind of support network. With Julia’s background in sales and marketing, the vision began to take shape.

Our Story is Your Story

We want parents to know that My Two Homes is a welcoming place, a soft landing, during a hard season.

We want children to feel seen, connected, and free of shame.

We believe divorce doesn’t have to define a child’s story but can be a chapter of growth when supported in a community.

Our Mission

We bring parents and children together through shared experiences, creating a safe, connected community for families navigating divorce and co-parenting.

Our mission is to create a supportive community where parents navigating divorce can find trusted resources, practical guidance, and shared experiences from others on a similar journey. We believe no one should face this transition alone—and we’re here to help every step of the way.
